Melany

Same sweet girl...lots of prayers and a few years apart 😍 Melany lives in the Dominican and was diagnosed with cancer a few years ago. We met her while she was going through chemo and doctors had given her only weeks to live. We were able to get her all of the treatment she needed (that her family couldn’t afford), prayed a whole lot, and Melany ended up being in remission from her cancer after lots of prayers, surgeries, and treatments. Well our sweet girl has had some lumps show back up on her throat and doctors are worried her cancer is back. Will you be in prayer with me for our sweet Melany and her family? God is bigger than cancer!

Jesus is sufficient

When Petete, a boy who has raised himself on the streets since he was very young, shows up to the mission house wearing a shirt that says “Jesus is sufficient” it puts a big smile on your face! Thankful we are able to show these kids the sweet love of Jesus. And we are beyond thankful for our monthly sponsors who make it possible for us to be able to do that. www.dominicankids.com

Joselo

Joselo Update: Joselo is currently in and out of the hospital each week receiving chemo for the cancer in his eyes. The doctors hope to do surgery again next week. Please be in prayer for Joselo and his family during this incredibly tough time. Without the help from sweet donors, this sweet boy wouldn’t be able to afford chemo, surgery, or any other medical needs he has. We are thankful for all those who have donated towards this sweet boys medical expenses! www.dominicankids.com

I cannot imagine…

See this precious family? Behind those smiles and sweet faces are thoughts of fear, worry, and sadness. This is a family we have taken care of for a few years in the Dominican. Last night their house (shack for better words as it was only a few pieces of tin and a dirt floor) burned to the ground. They have nothing left. Nothing except the clothes on their back. This family lives day by day and the kids (Carlito, Ezekiel, and Jessica) can’t even go to school because they have to work to help their family make ends meet. I truly can’t imagine living their life and then my house burning down on top of that. Please be in prayer for this sweet family as they figure out what they are going to do next. www.dominicankids.com
