Something To Eat
We have a gate that surrounds our mission house in the Dominican. People stop at our gate all day everyday. Adults asking for help for their loved one that needs medical attention, parents hoping for assistance with food or housing for their families, individuals looking for deodorant or toothbrushes, it’s a never ending list of reasons why people stop by. The kids involved in our feeding program know what times they are supposed to be at the house each day but that doesn’t always mean anything. Our kids sometimes show up super early in the AM or super late in the PM hoping to escape the streets for bit. Today, we just couldn’t turn away these two sweet boys who came hoping for a meal to eat!
Meet Makendi
Makendi is savoring every single bite of his lunch at our mission house today! He is soaking up the moments he gets to spend at our mission house being part of our street kids feeding program. Our feeding program is ONLY possible because of our monthly sponsors! We are so thankful for every single one of them and it truly takes every single penny and then some to make this possible for Makendi and kids just like him. If he didn’t come to our feeding program each day, he would dig through trash in hopes of finding enough scraps to fill his aching belly. That is no way to live! Thankful God places these kids in our lives to care for and meet their needs.

Happy Easter!
Happy Easter from #missionaryatheart! We are thankful for second chances, constant forgiveness, and that Jesus loves each and every one of us more than life itself. Today we are celebrating the fact that He is Risen!
"But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed." Isaiah 53:5
