My day wasn't filled with turkey and pumpkin pie...however it was the most incredible thanksgiving I've ever had! I got to spend it feeding over 50 of my favorite street kids! And to celebrate such a special day, I made each of them a goody bag full of candy. They were jumping with joy when they received them! Most of the kids had never received a gift before...they were beyond excited over a few pieces of candy wrapped up in a bag. What a perfect day celebrating the true meaning of Thanksgiving! #missionaryatheart
They aren't just street kids...
These aren't just street kids...they are my kids! And I love them more than life itself. Days spent laughing and acting silly are the best days in my book! Actions speak so much louder than words, so I will do my best to show these kids what true love really is, because only then will they be able to grasp Jesus' love for them. #missionaryatheart
Chigo
Chigo comes to our mission house everyday to eat, bathe, and play. When he's not here, he sells homemade doughnuts. Even with a smile that could light up a room, he lives in incredibly rough conditions. Im beyond thankful that Chigo, like many others have our mission house to come to everyday to "escape" the world they live in. #missionaryatheart
Lela
We must be doing something right! Meet Lela (in wheelchair) a homeless and handicap woman who comes to the mission house everyday to eat. Today, Petete (one of our street kids) saw Lela coming down the street and he ran out to help her in the the mission house gate! My heart is so full! Actions speak so much louder than words! #missionaryatheart
Street Kids
These are not just street kids...they are my kids and I love them to pieces! Every single one of them! These boys teach me more about life every single day! And even when days get long and I don't have enough money or donations to go around...they make everything worth it! #missionaryatheart
