Trauma Sensitive

Caring for over 300 kids that live in extreme poverty and many that are homeless can be difficult at times. Although the positives will always outweigh the bad, we are constantly dealing with bad behavior, fights, and difficult attitudes. However research shows that living in poverty can in fact lead to severe trauma for kids. So when bad behavior and difficulty is placed in our path with our kids, we simply love them a little harder and open our arms a little wider for them. Thank you Lord for giving us the opportunity to be a positive influence to our kids in the Dominican and for helping us show them your unfailing love! #missionaryatheart

Important Update! ❤️

 ❤️ Important #missionaryatheart update!!!!

#missionaryatheart needs YOU! We are a nonprofit organization that provides for poverty stricken and homeless kids and adults in the Dominican Republic! We run solely off of monthly sponsors and donations and despite everything we are doing, we are coming up short each month right now.

With Christmas coming up, we have a lot of expenses at our mission house:

1. New tires are needed for our van to pick our street kids up everyday 🚌

2. Our Dominican employees need year end money for health insurance and Christmas 🎄

3. Our feeding program needs money so we can continue to feed the kids on a daily basis 👦🏾👧🏽

4. We have to pay year end taxes in the Dominican to keep our nonprofit status in the DR 🇩🇴

We need to raise at least $2500 by the end of December in order to make all of this happen.

Can you please help us? Every donation is 100% tax deductible and no amount is too small!

You can make a one time or monthly tax deductible donation through our website:

www.dominicankids.com/donate-now/

Or click on this link to make a one time tax deductible donation:

If you give to #missionaryatheart, I can assure you that every single penny goes directly towards our street kids feeding program and our mission house expenses.

Although I try to never directly ask for money, God has been nudging me to do this!

we are so thankful for YOU and we know God will provide! Thank you all for loving and supporting #missionaryatheart

Blessings,

Caroline and all of my kids in the Dominican! ❤️❤️❤️

Giving Tuesday

It's Giving Tuesday!!! When you give to #missionaryatheart 100% of your donation goes directly towards changing lives! Many of our sponsors say they love #missionaryatheart most because they know EXACTLY where their money is going! Also, donations are tax deductible.

Partner with us and help us bring hope and love to so many precious kids in the Dominican Republic! Poverty and homelessness in a third world country result in unbelievably heartbreaking situations and we are thankful we have the opportunity to invest in these kids lives. However, we cannot do it without YOU!

Interested in making a tax-deductible donation??? Visit: www.dominicankids.com/donate-now/

Acts 20:35 "In everything I did, I showed you that by this kind of hard work we must help the weak, remembering the words the Lord Jesus himself said: ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’”

Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving from #missionaryatheart! We are so thankful for every single person who loves and supports our kids in the Dominican!

Yesterday, I couldn’t help but be a little sad every time I thought about how much $ goes into Thanksgiving in the United States, how much food will be wasted, and then how crazy some might be over Black Friday. Don’t get me wrong, I love Thanksgiving and spending special time with family however my heart always breaks for my Dominican kids. My sweet Dominican babies will never experience a day like most of us do on Thanksgiving. However, they are all just so beyond thankful to be able to come to our mission house in the Dominican everyday for a hot meal, a bath, clean clothes, and a safe environment. This year for Thanksgiving, I’m so super thankful that we are able to take care of and show love to so many kids in the Dominican Republic. Even when most days I have no idea how we will do it financially, God always provides! www.dominicankids.com
