Christmas came early for our kids in the Dominican! Yesterday we had a huge fiesta for our precious street kids! They partied, they got their face painted, they danced, they sang, they ate, they played, and they got to just be kids! And although their Christmas won’t be spent with family or opening lots of presents from Santa, they are so thrilled that they were able to celebrate Christmas at our mission house! They don’t have family to spend this holiday day and they won’t receive any gifts. December 25th will just be a normal day for our street kids. Jesus is truly the reason for the season and we are so thankful that our street kids were able to celebrate His birthday! #missionaryatheart

Thanksgiving!
Today I am beyond thankful to be all of my street kids “mama”! What a blessing it is! Although my Thanksgivings don’t look traditional and they are not spent eating turkey, dressing, and pecan pie....I feel like I truly am getting to experience the perfect meaning of Thanksgiving! Feeding all of my street kids their normal rice, beans, and meat today was a perfect day in my book! A Day of Cathing Up!
Today was filled with so many laughs, hugs, and pure joy! It’s been too long since I got to see all of my babies and I’m so thankful we got to catch up today! I’m amazed at this amazing calling God has for me! Thank you Lord for blessing me so much more than I deserve and for putting my wonderful fiancé in my life that supports me every step of the way!
